Originally from Vienna, Austria, Thomas brings more than 35 years of hands-on building experience from across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. A lifelong learner and innovator, his passion lies in sustainable building practices: from straw-bale homes to hempcrete panels.
Thomas lives by a holistic approach to wellbeing: yoga, wholesome food, outdoor adventures, and of course — regular sauna sessions. For him, sauna isn’t a luxury — it’s a lifestyle! A ritual for detoxing, relaxing muscles, soothing joints, and embracing the slow rhythm of life.
Isaias Rivas, Director
Licensed Building Practitioner | Passive House Certified Tradesperson | Co-Founder
Originally from Chile, Isa found his home in Nelson, drawn by the mountains, the sea, and the strong sense of community. As one of only a handful of Passive House Certified Tradespeople in the Tasman region, he’s passionate about sustainable, healthy building and the use of natural materials.
Balancing his work with life as a partner and father to a young family, Isa brings the same sense of care and integrity to every project. For him, sauna building is where craftsmanship, wellbeing, and connection come together, creating spaces that nurture both body and mind.
Patrice Kelly, Sauna Guide
Natruropath | Nutritionist | Massage Therapist
Patrice qualified as a naturopath and medical herbalist in 2017, and as a nutritionist and massage therapist in 2018. She has been teaching naturopathy and herbal medicine at a tertiary level for seven years. Guided by the wisdom of plants and nature, Patrice is combining her expertise in natural health with her interest in sauna therapy to create unique therapeutic herbal sauna experiences. With extensive clinical and teaching experience, she brings both practical wisdom and deep respect for traditional healing. Passionate about connection, relaxation and community wellbeing, she looks forward to sharing her knowledge and passion with the community
