How to Get to Ahi Mahi Sauna
You’ll find us tucked away beside the Maitai River, within the Maitai Valley Motor Camp. It’s an easy and scenic drive, cycle, or walk from Nelson city centre.
By Car or Bike:
Follow Maitai Valley Road all the way to the entrance of Maitai Valley Motor Camp. You’ll see signs for parking, turn in and follow the path shown on the map. Cars and bikes can follow the green route along the riverbank.
Parking:
Once you reach the end of the track, you’ll see the designated parking area (marked on the map). Please park here: it’s just a short stroll to the sauna from this point.
Finding the Sauna:
From the car park, walk down towards the river following the path through the trees. You’ll spot the Ahi Mahi Sauna right beside the water — look for the wooden structure and our flame logo.
Tip: The walk from the car park takes only a few seconds and offers stunning views of the river — a perfect way to start winding down before your session.
